History of Sprint Center
This arena opened in 2007 in Kansas City, Mo., and is located near the Power & Light District. The name of this arena is paid for by the Sprint Telecommunication Company that is headquartered in nearby Overland Park, Kan. The Sprint Center was designed to replace the Kemper Arena that was built during the 1970s. This facility is near to the College Basketball Experience that is part of the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.
